Pie in a jiffy, here’s how.
Just a few pointers:
* you can add mushrooms or any other veg you want.
I omitted mushrooms on account my son isn’t crazy about them.
* Also preheat your oven while you prep your ingredients.
* And don’t let your sauce get to “runny” else it will seep through the pastry
* I served my pie with peas and corn. I drizzled melted butter and garlic and some parsley over them.
Excluding cooking time in the oven, making the pie took less than hour and its delish.
chop half an onion, mix mushroom powder with milk set aside
two chicken breasts cut into cubes
Im using puff pastry from pick n pay (you’ll get it in the frozen food section)
in a pan brown chicken, add onions, garlic, salt and a pinch of paprika (im using smoked paprika)
once browned add the mushroom powder and milk mixture
once the sauce goes thick set aside, get busy with the puff pastry
spray pan with spray n cook ,then line it with the puff pastry
add your chicken
I cut a circle to cover the top of the pie base
cook in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes at 180′ degrees
a few minutes later bob’s we’re all eating pie!
